Day 2
Activities: Potala Palace & Jokhang Temple
After breakfast, Visiting one of the most charismatic structure ever build in Tibet, the Potala palace, winter residence for the successive Dalailamas. It is an awe-inspiring experience. Venture up the Potala Palace and explore the grandest of its myriad rooms. See the jeweled burial chortens of the past Dalai Lamas as well as statuary and frescos. In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang Temple. It is one of the oldest and holiest temples in Tibet. This 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is the heart of Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray regularly in the temple. Yak butter lamps burn in front of rich statuary that includes the Sakyamuni Buddha brought to Tibet in the 7th Century, marks as a sign of Buddhist tradition being adopted in Tibet. Having done with ancient temple, ramble around Barkhor will give you more time to feel the indigenous people and atmosphere of the historical town. Night in Lhasa.
Day 3
Activities: Norbulingka palace, Drephung & Sera monastery
Begin your day by visiting Drephung monastery in the morning, it was the world largest monastery in it’s heyday, located approximately 8Km west of center Lhasa, constituted by 4 main colleges and many hundreds of dormitories for monks, with huge prayer chanting hall echoing perpetual chorus of drumbeats and deep throated prayers, chapels enshrined important relics, and communal kitchen filled up with medieval looking utensils, like ladles and cauldrons will keep your eyes active. Drephung has also been well known for its monk scholars.
Afterwards, set off to Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalailamas, build in 1755,
After your tour in Norbulingka, have lunch and then get picked up by your driver to go to Sera Monastery, located a few kilometers north of the city. Founded in 1419, Sera Monastery was once home to thousands of monks who came to study at this great Gelugpa sect institute. Follow your guide into the large complex, and watch monks practice an active form of Buddhist philosophical debate in the courtyards most afternoons (except Sundays). Watch the activity before returning to hotel.

Day 4
Activities: Drak Yerpa Hermitage
Drak Yerpa Hermitage is a mountain retreat endowed with remarkable spiritual power situated about 30km northeast of Lhasa, it’s fascinating to drive on the paved road, across the Ngachen-la pass (4000m), and turn into the Yerpa Valley, spend your time by stepping into many small caves and chapels with Tibetan pilgrims. Its natural beauty and spiritual ambience will definitely attract your likes. Overnight at hotel.
